Corso Italia di corsa - Running in Corso Italia

E' vero !

It's true!
Running is therapeuthic , Sans was right when she told me.
I never liked running but I always loved walking .
Lately I walked a lot and ever faster and faster ,  so much that my timings were getting closer and closer to those of a slow runner.
This morning I decided to jump into the dark , I put on my shoes and I began running.
I am proud of myself : 5 kms from my house to Fiera del Mare following Corso Italia (breathtaking landscape and wonderful sea) in only 37 min !
They seemed 30 but I double checked and they grew up a bit ....

My attire was at least original ;o)   I wore a pair of shorts which belonged to my son when he was 9 years old , a pair of shoes bought on purpose 11 years ago and NEVER used and a t-shirt gift of a sunglasses brand.....
I shall never win a prize for elegance but it has been such a satisfaction to be able do to it !

BTW I came back home walking ;o)

Good for you, wish I had a nice place to walk. Here it is just houses with dogs barking and everybody behind a high fence for security and safety.

So so so pleased I am, Ro. Now we will have one more thing in common :). I am going to tell the boys that you have started running and that you are one of us , all the way from Italy :).

Get a smart phone Ro. Then you can start using the application :). Never mind, one step at a time! Woooooooooohoooo! I am so happy to read this post :):) Must tell Fai!

Eva & Ewa, do long walks :). Brisk walking is a very very good exercise too!

Rosanna, I have seen in the news that several hearthquakers are happening in the north of Italy, I hope everything is Ok with you and your family.

E se in fondo a via Sturla giri a sinistra, sei quasi da me!
Suona il citofono e sali!

Well done you Ronsanna! I just love walking, I walk everywhere (I don't know how to drive!) but I don't think I could run. What a wonderful place to run, I am so jealous!!!! :)

I was having trouble coming up with ideas for work a few years ago, and I was so worried about it, thinking I would lose the job, but no ideas came. And my mom, when I telephoned her to complain, told me to go for a walk. And I said, noooooo, I have no time, that won't work, how will that work, I have to sit here and brainstorm, on and on. And she said again, go for a walk. So, finally I did. And when I came back from the walk, I was full of ideas. I couldn't believe it. She was right. Walking and running helps so much, but you don't believe it until you do it! And you have such a wonderful place to run, Ro. I am running right along with you, though I am sure I'm out if breath and tripping over something...

Good for you!! And what a wonderful place to enjoy as you run/walk. Pity there is no photo of you modelling your unique athletic fashion outfit - you might start an international trend! ;)
